Ani A. Avetisyan is a skilled and conscientious California attorney with over 15 years of professional experience, including in various areas of civil litigation. Her career has been enriched by diverse roles that have shaped her as an attorney and contributed to her broad understanding of the varied support needs of sole practitioners and attorneys working in small, mid-size, and large firms.
Considering her experiences, and attuned to those of her colleagues, she established Precise Task to fulfill some of those support needs through a more streamlined process. She understood the various ways recruiting and artificial intelligence often fell short, and intended Precise Task to serve unmet needs by providing timely, quality, and reliable task-based professional support for lawyers.
Professional Journey
Ms. Avetisyan commenced her legal career in the fast-paced, demanding setting of Big Law, where she spent four years honing her skills as a civil litigator and learning from exceptional attorneys. This formative stage shaped her ability to tackle complex legal challenges and solidified the strategic mindset necessary to deliver successful outcomes. The invaluable skills and insights she acquired in the Big Law environment built a strong foundation for her evolving career.
After Big Law, Ms. Avetisyan embraced her entrepreneurial spirit by embarking on the rewarding, enlightening, and challenging journey of solo practice. During more than six years of personal and professional growth as a sole practitioner, she demonstrated keen professional judgment, remarkable resilience, and unwavering dedication to advocating for her clients. She managed every aspect of her practice, handling everything from mundane administrative tasks to the most complicated professional demands of her varied caseload. She worked diligently on a broad range of matters in the areas of general civil litigation, civil appeals, employment, family law, and estate planning.
In the process, she continually developed her research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills. As she faced the many challenges of daily practice, she took great pride in developing her legal acumen and confidence to face any legal battle in the dedicated service of her clients.
Having experienced the extremes of Big Law and solo practice during a memorable decade of practice, Ms. Avetisyan transitioned to finding better work-life balance in the context of contract and freelance work on a flexible schedule. In the years leading up to establishing Precise Task, PC, Ms. Avetisyan worked for small and midsize firms, doing various projects and assignments in several litigation practice areas.
These exciting engagements provided new learning opportunities, and exposure to unique firm cultures, practices, and working styles. Ms. Avetisyan’s adaptability, diligence, and skill allowed her to successfully navigate different work environments and professional relationships to meet the important needs of the firms retaining her services.
Inspired by the enriching and enlightening experiences of her career, and attuned to the needs of the legal profession, Ms. Avetisyan founded Precise Task with the mission of providing exceptional and reliable task-based professional support for California lawyers. She is dedicated to that mission and is excited to work with colleagues who can benefit from Precise Task’s services.
Educational Background
Ms. Avetisyan’s educational journey laid the groundwork for her legal career. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the prestigious UC Berkeley School of Law in 2009. While there, she was honored to learn from some of the country’s best law professors and brightest law students.
Through enthusiastic and rigorous study, she developed her research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills. She earned the American Jurisprudence Award (given to the student with the highest grade in the class for a particular subject) in Constitutional Law and Employment Law. She also earned the Best Brief award in her Written and Oral Advocacy class.
Before attending law school, Ms. Avetisyan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California in 2006. She double majored in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science, and graduated magna cum laude, with a 3.88 overall grade point average. Set on her plan to attend law school, and having transferred Advanced Placement credits from high school, she completed her studies for both majors in just three years.
She hoped her dual focus on two majors highly relevant to a legal career would serve her well in law school and beyond, and she was right. The writing, analytical, and communication skills she learned proved invaluable, as did her broader understanding of the social and political issues underpinning the law.

The core values and traits driving Ms. Avetisyan’s work and interactions include integrity, responsibility, professionalism, conscientiousness, and effective communication. She works best with colleagues and firms who prioritize and promote civility, diversity, ethical conduct, and work-life balance within the legal profession.
